40 Duke is an exclusive private members’ club by Selfridges, bringing luxury hospitality to its Oxford Street flagship. The space features a refined Bar & Lounge serving crafted cocktails and light bites, alongside a Private Dining Room for up to 80 guests, ideal for intimate gatherings. A standout feature is the rooftop-style terrace, accommodating 64 diners with a retractable canopy for year-round use. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team of a new members’ club. Our kitchen focuses on seasonal, ingredient-led cooking, delivered with precision, care and consistency. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their craft, work well as part of a team and maintain high standards during service. Chef requirements • Take ownership of a designated section within the kitchen, • Ensure mise en place is prepared and organised ahead of service, • Maintain cleanliness and order within the section at all times, • Ensure equipment and ingredients are properly stored and maintained, • Prepare and cook dishes to the agreed recipes and specifications, • Ensure all dishes leaving the section meet the required presentation and quality standards, • Maintain consistency in flavour, portioning and presentation, • Assist with the preparation of ingredients and components required for service, • Run the section efficiently during service, • Work closely with the Sous Chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations, • Communicate clearly with other sections to ensure coordinated service
